What has been done:
I have emailed/contacted:
- Better Health Channel
- Cricket Victoria
- Netball Australia
- AFL Victoria
- Nutrition Australia
- Life Saving Victoria
- Anti- cancer council
I have heard back from the Better Health channel who said they are sending material (not exactly sure what but should be enough for 50 people) within the next 10 days. I should also recieve information booklets/posters from Anti cancer council and will be speaking with Cricket Victoria and Go for your Life this week to find out what is available from them.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE:
-Letters to supermarkets and nursuries
- Organising promotional information (newsletters): to do this I think we need to come up with a catchy name/ title for the day
- Invites for parents/guardians: encouraging them to come along and maybe also asking for materials (i.e. shovals etc.)
- Email/contact sport organisatins other than the mainstream (footy/netball)
- Email/contact businesses to donate sporting equipment for games such as frisbees/lacrosse?
